Three out of three! After Coppa Italia wins against Trevigliese and Gozzano, Milan Futuro win once again in their opening game of Serie D, turning it around against Pavia to win 2-1. It was an important win for the Rossoneri, with great goals from Branca and Perina in the final fifteen minutes, giving us the lead after Alfiero opened the scoring. Three points and a brave performance to be proud of, showing Oddo's side's upwards trajectory. They were clinical and solid when it mattered after a flat first half.
Two players got on the scoresheet for the first time in this afternoon's win: Simone Branca and Gioele Perina. It was particularly sweet for the match winner, who has worked his way through our youth academy, suffering several injuries throughout his time with us. It was the best possible start for the Rossoneri, still with two more home clashes to go in a very intense week. On Wednesday 17, we will play our delayed game against Leon, before another tough game on Sunday 21 against ChievoVerona.

MATCH REPORT The home side began stronger, benefiting from Rossoneri errors in the build-up. In the 6th minute, Nchama shot over, and in the 12th minute, captain Duțu denied Quaggio. The Rossoneri came close in the 17th minute, with Traorè's free-kick calling Cincilla into making a great save. Then came a period in which both sides had spells of the ball but without creating much, until the 41st minute: Traorè got past Mazzolo and found Magrassi in the middle, but he couldn't provide the finishing touch in the six-yard box.
The second half began with a chance for Eletu (his strike from the edge of the box was saved by Cincilla in the 47th minute) and then Pavia's opener, which came in the 49th minute, with Alfiero heading home De Simone's cross. Oddo then turned to the bench, and in the 67th minute, we almost gave a goal away with Cincilla doing well to prevent an own goal in an almighty scramble in the box. A spark was needed, and it came in the 79th minute. It was an outstanding goal by Branca who curled it right into the top corner from the edge of the box. In the 83rd minute, Torriani did well to save Itraloni's free-kick, with the keeper pushing it onto the bar. The Rossoneri then had the last say. In the 89th minute, Sia got out to the right and found Perina in the middle, who fired it home to make it 2-1. In added time, Ibrahimović had the chance to make it three, but never mind, as we still won!
