Arsenal midfielder Martín Zubimendi has withdrawn from Spain international duty.Zubimendi was due to feature in La Roja's squad for the upcoming friendly against Egypt.

However, the Spanish National Team released a statement on Sunday, confirming the 27-year-old's withdrawal.

"MartĂ­n Zubimendi has withdrawn from the Spanish national team camp due to discomfort in his right knee.

"To avoid any risk and to protect the player's health, he has been removed from the squad. Arsenal FC's medical staff have been informed of the situation."

Zubimendi joins a growing list of injured Arsenal players during the international break.

Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Noni Medueke withdrew from the England squad on Saturday, while Ecuador's Piero Hincapie also left his national team early.
