Mbeumo, who opened the scoring in Man United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham at the weekend, has been a cause of concern for supporters since the final whistle at Old Trafford.

Footage of the Cameroon international, who was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee in the 87th minute, limping as he left the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ has gone viral on social media, thus placing his involvement at the London Stadium in doubt.

However, Michael Carrick appears to have allayed any fears.

Delivering a team news update in the pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon, the Man Utd head coach made no mention of Mbeumo which suggests the forward is fine.

Furthermore, Carrick revealed that he expects to be without Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt for the trip to the capital.

“Mason will be probably not for Tuesday, probably after, but definitely gone into the Everton game, he’ll be back," Carrick said.

"Matta, we'll see how he develops over the, you know… the Everton game feels like a long time away at the moment, so we'll see how he develops, but he's positive, he's moving in the right direction, but Mason's a little bit closer than him."

Man United will be without Patrick Dorgu against West Ham after he sustained a hamstring injury in the 3-2 win over Arsenal last month.

Victory in east London will move the Red Devils above Aston Villa in third on goal difference, though Unai Emery’s side will have the chance to respond when they face Brighton on Wednesday evening.
