Jude Bellingham made a low-key return to St Andrews on Friday, 31 July, as Birmingham City hosted Barcelona in a pre-season friendly. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Stourbridge-born England and Real Madrid midfielder was in the stands.

The 23-year-old watched his boyhood club face the current Spanish champions, major rivals of his own side Real Madrid. He was pictured seated alongside his mum Denise.

Bellingham has won the Champions League and La Liga and was England’s top scorer as they reached the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.

He came through Birmingham’s academy, spending 10 years at the club, and broke through as a teenager before moving to Germany with Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

Supporters shared the occasion with a homegrown star at a prestigious friendly between European heavyweights.
