Manchester United midfielder Casemiro will be at the club next season despite the strong links with a move to the Saudi Pro League (Mirror).
Casemiro is reportedly earning around £350,000 a week and he was a candidate to exit Old Trafford alongside Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.
He wants a place in the Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup, and staying at Man United in the Premier League gives him the best shot at a call for the showpiece.
After underwhelming showings this season, the 33-year-old looked set to leave the Theatre of Dreams but fought his way back into the team under Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils may recruit a new central midfielder this summer as they bid to add some athleticism to the middle of the park.
However, Casemiro will still bring his experience and leadership to the dressing room.
The Red Devils need a younger holding midfielder to succeed the former Real Madrid star. Chelsea’s Andrey Santos could be an option.
Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly considering a swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku and Alejandro Garnacho.
Man United should also try to get the Blues talking over Santos.
Santos has struggled to get a look in at Chelsea in the Club World Cup and might be looking for a new stomping ground where he can play consistently.
With Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez ahead of him in the pecking order, Man United can take advantage.
Santos enjoyed a sensational loan with Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg. He would be a sensational addition to the Man United engine room, and the club should test the waters.
