CD Castellón visit Ceuta on Saturday, nine May 2026, 14.00, at the Estadio Alfonso Murube. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the hosts have five former albinegros.
Manu Sánchez, Rubén Díez, Kialy Abdoul Koné, Cristian Rodríguez and Yann Bodiger bring subplots that sharpen this contest.
Wing-back Manu, often used high, was a key driver of the recent promotion, with 15 goals and 7 assists in 79 games. He has not featured since seven April, so his involvement is uncertain.
Díez, central to the 2020 rise, still offers craft between the lines. His Castellón record is 88 matches, 14 goals and 4 assists, and if he features the albinegra support know the risk is real.
Koné adds pace, power, dribbling and use of space from the left. His Castellón stint brought 9 goals in 70 outings, and he is nursing an ankle issue, but if he plays he remains unpredictable.
Bodiger’s short spell in Castellón convinced. Now a pivotal figure for Ceuta, he dictates rhythm and balance, the quiet organiser who can tilt the game.
Cristian Rodríguez was once important, with 53 games, 4 goals and 12 assists. Lately he has played only seven minutes across three and a half months, so his role is unclear.
The crossover might have been deeper, with Juanto Ortuño leaving for Real Murcia in winter. Diego González, from Vila-real, also gives Ceuta a provincial thread.
This is no routine fixture. Recent history, tangled emotions and plenty at stake point to a charged afternoon at the Murube.
