Chelsea's losing streak came to an end with the Blues earning a 1-1 draw at Anfield.
It was Liverpool who started the game the better of the two teams, taking the lead just seven minutes into the match. Rio Ngumoha found Ryan Gravenberch on the edge of the area with the Dutch midfielder having time to pick his spot from the edge of the area. It looked like Filip Jorgensen's footing wasn't quite right as the curling effort sailed past him and into the net.
However, after a bright 30 minutes from Liverpool it was Chelsea who grew into the game. The Blues levelled the score with just over a half hour gone when Enzo Fernández whipped in a free-kick that Wesley Fofana waved a leg but probably didn't make contact when it found its way into the corner beyond the reach of Giorgi Mamardashvili
The visitors thought they had taken the lead early into the second half when Cole Palmer found the net however Marc Cucurella was found to be just offside in the build up.
Liverpool took control of the game again as it continued with the home side first having a goal disallowed when Cody Gakpo headed off the post before Dominik Szoboszlai came close for the home side as his effort bounced off the post.
In the end, neither side could find a winner and a draw was probably a fair result with Chelsea stopping their losing run while Liverpool's point opens the door for Aston Villa to move ahead of them in fourth.
However, what's most important for Arne Slot is that it's another point closer to Champions League football.
