Liverpool entertained Chelsea at Anfield earlier today as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the sixth minute thanks to Ryan Gravenberch’s excellent strike. However, Enzo Fernandez equalised for the visitors in the 35th minute as both sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Arne Slot’s men struggled to score the winner in the second half and had to settle for a lackluster 1-1 draw in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against the Blues.
GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili – 6.5/10
He made some solid saves at the back but couldn’t do much about Fernandez’s goal.
Jones was far from convincing when defending inside his half and struggled to influence the game going forward.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6.5/10
He failed to keep track of Cucurella’s runs and put in a shaky performance on the defensive end of the pitch.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10
Van Dijk cleared the danger when he could and was a threat at the other end of the field.
