Chelsea send out ridiculous media brief about Joao Felix’s future and move away

As far as media briefings go, I think this is probably one of the most ridiculous I’ve seen sent out by Chelsea in quite some time.

OF course, there is no way to guarantee what is a brief direct from Chelsea and what isn’t. So for the sake of fairness, I do have to say that I am speculating on the briefing part, but to me this looks like a CLEAR and obvious media briefing sent out directly from Chelsea to The Athletic to try and tone things down and relax a certain section of the Blues fan base.

EXCLUSIVE! The SIXTEEN players Chelsea made attempts on trying to sign in January but failed!

Fans are angry right now, many of them are annoyed with Chelsea’s transfer business in January, or should I say a severe lack of it.

And also, players like Joao Felix have a section of Chelsea fans who really rate him. There are others who don’t of course, but he does have some solid fans at Chelsea.

The Blues decided to loan him out in the winter window, and many were annoyed after they only signed him six months prior and he didn’t come cheap.

Now, The Athletic are reporting that Chelsea still see elite upside in Joao Felix, who was identified in the summer as a fit for Maresca’s system and a potent weapon against opposition low blocks.

Hahahah!! OK, sure. I’ll eat my hat if he is not sold in the summer. Enzo Maresca has clearly NEVER fancied him, and he was clearly only signed so they could sell Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid. The elite upside they speak about is probably the profit they will try and make on him.

“Our sporting structure has a lot of egg on their face right now. It’s bad business across the board here. I mean, you bought players only to loan them immediately,” Presenter Nick Verlaney said.

You’re bringing back players who should have been with the squad all along. It looks like a lot of mismanagement all around. And if you ask me right now if Chelsea have a better squad for the second half of the season than they had for the first half – I think the answer is unequivocally: ‘no’.”
