Sevilla are monitoring Chelsea forward Marc Guiu as they assess options to bolster Luis García Plaza’s attack after his sparse opportunities in England.
Despite barely featuring in 2025/26, Chelsea are said to want £25 million for a permanent deal. The Chelsea Chronicle reports that the club have decided to sell or loan him this summer, with Coventry City, Sunderland and Sevilla among the interested sides. For Sevilla, a loan would be the only realistic route if that valuation holds.
His position in London appears even trickier, with the return of Nicolas Jackson and the arrival of Emmanuel Emegha. With João Pedro established and Liam Delap involved, he could be, at best, third choice under Xabi Alonso.
Born in Granollers in 2006, Guiu burst onto the scene in 2023 by scoring 23 seconds into his Barcelona debut. He moved to Chelsea in 2024 for six million euros, but his progress stalled due to a lack of minutes. In 2025 he had a brief spell at Sunderland.
A tall centre-forward, he impresses with aerial strength, hold-up play and powerful runs. His finishing still needs polish, yet his profile could mesh with García Plaza’s style.
Even so, Sevilla’s main market priority remains a leading centre-forward to replace Akor Adams, and the recruitment team are proceeding carefully.
