Inter Milan and Yann Bisseck have begun talks over a contract extension, with the Germany defender targeting a strong finish to the season both to reclaim his starting spot and to push for World Cup inclusion under Julian Nagelsmann.
According to Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, discussions over a renewal running from the current 2029 expiry to 2030 are already progressing in the right direction.
There are no significant doubts over his future at the club. Bisseck returns to fitness at the perfect moment.
Indeed, after playing a cameo in the Coppa Italia semi-final victory over Como, Bisseck is in line to start at Torino on Sunday alongside Akanji and Carlos Augusto.
Furthermore, his World Cup ambitions give him an extra edge of motivation heading into the final weeks of the season.
However, the wider injury picture remains uncertain.
De Vrij and Bastoni are both doubts for the Torino trip, with final decisions on their availability expected after Saturday’s training session.
Lautaro Martinez, meanwhile, will not travel to Turin. His return is set for the Parma home game, a fixture that could also deliver Inter’s 21st Scudetto mathematically.
Therefore, Sunday’s trip to Torino could be a historic occasion, provided results elsewhere cooperate. And Bisseck, fit and motivated, will be at the heart of the Inter defence as it unfolds.
