Corinthians academy full-back unveiled at new club

Throughout last Friday, October 24, right-back Vitinho Oliveira, who recently left Corinthians’ youth academy after losing his spot in the Under-20 category, was announced at KF Teuta, in Albania. At 20 years old, the player left the Alvinegro in June – for free – after his contract was not renewed.

“KF Teuta is pleased to present the newest addition to the team! The 20-year-old Brazilian right-back Vitinho Oliveira joins our squad from SC Corinthians Under-20, where he had very good performances. The entire blue family welcomes Vitinho Oliveira and wishes him good luck in the Teuta shirt!” said the Albanian club on its social media. Click here to check out the post.

In the event of a future transfer of the player to another club, Corinthians will only be entitled to the FIFA Solidarity Mechanism (up to 2.5%) for being the player’s training club. The Parque São Jorge club did not receive any financial compensation for the departure of the young right-back.

Counting both the Under-17 and Under-20 categories at Corinthians, Vitinho Oliveira played in 81 matches (33 with the younger team and 48 with the older), scoring two goals. In total, there were 44 wins, 17 draws, and 20 losses. In the Under-17, his success rate was 72%, while in the Under-20 it was 54%.

Vitinho Oliveira was part of the squad that won the 2024 Copinha, in which the team, then coached by former player and now coach Danilo Andrade, beat Cruzeiro 1-0 at Neo Química Arena, with a goal from striker Kayke Ferrari in the final stretch of the match.
