Corinthians announce Agustina Barroso’s return for the 2026 season

Corinthians officially announced, this Saturday (10th), the signing of the Argentine defender Agustina Barroso for the 2026 season. At 32 years old, the defender returns to the Parque São Jorge club after a recent stint at Flamengo, which ended at the end of 2025, and joins without transfer costs after the expiration of her contract with the Carioca team.

This will be Agustina Barroso's second stint at Corinthians. In her first experience with the club in 2017, the defender participated in two matches in the Women's Copa Libertadores, a competition that ended with Corinthians' title after the final against Colo-Colo from Chile.

In the last season, playing for Flamengo, Agustina was on the field in 30 matches, scored one goal, and contributed with one assist. Throughout her career, the defender has played for clubs such as Palmeiras, Ferroviária, Osasco Audax, as well as UAI Urquiza from Argentina, and the Spanish teams Tenerife and Madrid CFF.

With the announcement, Agustina becomes the fourth confirmed reinforcement for Corinthians in 2026. Before her, the club had already announced the arrivals of forward Rhaizza, formerly of Bahia, midfielder Paola García from Deportivo Cali, and forward Belén Aquino, acquired from Internacional. The club's management is still working to confirm the signing of Ana Vitória, currently with Atlético de Madrid.
