Corinthians arrive in Florianópolis with 24-man squad for Copa do Brasil opener

Corinthians arrived in Florianópolis on Monday for their 2026 Copa do Brasil bow, visiting Barra on Tuesday 21 at 21:30 at the Ressacada in the fifth-round first leg.
After a morning session at CT Joaquim Grava, a 24-player group flew to the Santa Catarina capital and checked into their hotel. According to Meu Timao, fans gathered outside, with Yuri Alberto drawing the biggest attention.
Fernando Diniz has new absences, goalkeeper Hugo Souza, with muscular pain, and midfielder André Luiz, with flu, did not travel. Alex Santana is not yet available despite being reintegrated and registered.
The injury list also includes Memphis, Gui Negão, Hugo Farias, João Pedro Tchoca and Charles. Right-back Matheuzinho returns after missing Vitória on Saturday and, despite a four-match STJD ban in Brasileirão games, is available here. Teenager Pietro Grecco, 17, is included as third-choice goalkeeper.
Corinthians are the reigning holders, having claimed a fourth title against Vasco da Gama at the Maracanã when Diniz coached the opposition. The return leg is on 14 May at 19:30 at the Neo Química Arena.
