Corinthians confirmed on Thursday that 19-year-old forward Gui Negão has begun his physical transition, with Memphis Depay also involved but still under physiotherapy supervision.

Negão, sidelined since late March, worked separately from the main group at CT Joaquim Grava as he recovers from a grade two strain in his right hamstring.

He sustained the injury while training with Brazil’s under-20s, was withdrawn from the squad and replaced by Yuri Leles of Red Bull Bragantino. The club described it as a strain to the posterior of his right thigh.

He has made 36 senior appearances for Corinthians, with 16 wins, 14 defeats and five draws, scoring six goals and providing two assists.

A key figure in the 2025 Copa do Brasil triumph, he was decisive in the quarter-final against Athletico-PR, scoring twice and supplying an assist, though he later lost his starting place.

This season he has 12 appearances, seven starts, and one goal. His most recent outing was the 1-1 draw with Flamengo on 22 March in the Brasileirão.

The treatment room also includes João Pedro Tchoca, who has pubic pain, Charles with a right heel injury, and Hugo Farias after lateral meniscus surgery on his right knee. André Luiz is recovering from flu.

Corinthians host Vasco da Gama on Sunday at 16:00 at the Neo Química Arena in the 13th round of the Brasileirão.
