Corinthians began preparations on Monday for Wednesday's Libertadores meeting with Independiente Santa Fé. Forward Kaio César started transition work after a right hamstring injury, and right-back Pedro Milans returned to train with the squad.
According to Meu Timao, Milans has recovered from a sprain to his left ankle. Kaio César has been out since the 1-1 draw with Santos on 15 March.
The session opened with strength work in the gym. Players who featured for more than 45 minutes in Sunday's derby completed indoor recovery at the training ground, while the rest headed outside for a 10 against 10 exercise.
Midfielder Alex Santana also rejoined group training, having been sidelined by former coach Dorival Júnior and made to work at different times. The number 80 is to be reintegrated at the request of Fernando Diniz, a decision approved by president Osmar Stabile. His last appearance for the Parque São Jorge club came on 15 May last year, a 1-0 win over Racing of Uruguay in the Copa Sul-Americana.
There is one more session on Tuesday before their first home game of this year's Libertadores. Timão host the Colombian side at Neo Química Arena at 21:30 in the second round.
