Corinthians thrash Audax and reach Paulista Feminino Sub-17 semi-finals

On the afternoon of this Saturday (15), Corinthians returned to the field for the São Paulo Women's U-17 Championship. Playing at Parque São Jorge, the Brabinhas hosted Audax Osasco for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the competition, managing to qualify for the semifinals after thrashing their opponents 4-1, closing the aggregate at 7-4. The goals for the black and white team were scored by Elohá, Carol Melo, Glória Lira, and Júlia Romero.

For the decisive match, coach Julia Passero lined up Timão with a team composed of Carol; Kailanny, Lari Horn, and Nay; Lara Mel, Elohá, Letícia Totô, and Carol Melo; Nat Pereira, Lívia, and Glória Lira. On the bench, available were Maryah, Maria Paula, Hariadni, Isa Soares, Emillym, Dafhiny, Kathleen, Anna Martins, and Júlia Romero.

Corinthians started the game offensively, making their presence felt in the opponent's field and creating good opportunities with Leticia, Lara Mel, and Lívia. Despite stoppages for Audax players' treatment, the team continued pressing, hit the post, forced Sophia to make good saves, and dominated the pace of the match.

Audax opened the scoring with a play on the left side, but Corinthians quickly responded. Elohá equalized by taking advantage of Sophia's rebound, and after constant pressure, Carol Melo turned the game around in stoppage time, followed by Glória Lira extending the lead after a corner. The team went into halftime with a good advantage.

In the second half, Corinthians maintained their dominance and continued attacking, mainly on the right side of the field. The team wasted chances from set-pieces and made substitutions but kept more possession and control of the game, neutralizing Audax's attempts. In the final stretch, Lara Mel crossed for Júlia Romero to extend the score. The Brabinhas then managed the pace until the final whistle, winning the match 4-1.
