According to Meu Timao, Corinthians are close to selling 19-year-old midfielder André Luiz to Milan for €15m, with a further €2m possible in add-ons.

The €15m covers 100% of his economic rights and will be paid in three instalments, one per year until 2028. The extra €2m would be triggered if he plays at least 45 minutes in 20 matches. ESPN reports that president Osmar Stabile’s approval is still required.

Talks advanced in recent days and reached a resolution only after the player gave up his 30% share. With Corinthians holding 70%, Milan would not go beyond €17m including the add-on, so André waived his cut and the entire fee will go to the club. Corinthians will also retain 20% of any profit on a future sale.

If signed, he can only be registered in July, when the next window opens, so he is expected to remain at Parque São Jorge until the World Cup.

A homegrown midfielder, he was promoted by Dorival Júnior and debuted on 13 September against Fluminense at the Maracanã. He has since made 23 appearances, scoring four goals, and won the Copa do Brasil and the Supercopa Rei.

Juventus also submitted a higher offer last Friday. André is available to face Novorizontino on Saturday at 20:30 in the Paulistão semi-final.
