Corum FK have entered the race for Alpha Touré after the FC Metz midfielder rejected a move to Al-Diraiyah of the Saudi top flight.
According to L'Équipe, Metz had accepted a 7 million euro bid, but the 20-year-old could not reach an agreement with the Saudi club and the situation appears to be at a standstill.
With Watford of the English second tier still interested, Corum, newly promoted to Türkiye's Süper Lig, have come forward in recent hours.
Corum are aiming to scale up in the Süper Lig, backed by resources unusual for a club of their size, illustrated by the sizeable salary put to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he considers leaving Marseille. Touré is under contract at Metz until June 2028. No offer has yet been made to Metz, but it is only a matter of time.
For Metz, relegated to Ligue 2, Touré's sale is strategic, with recent seasons often requiring at least one major outgoing to balance the books, such as Camara and Sabaly. This window, the plan hinges on multiple departures, including Sadibou Sané to Monaco, already sealed at 10 million euros including three in bonuses, the potential sale of Touré, and possibly Gauthier Hein, whose fee would be lower.
