The Sky Blues' USMNT forward has been in red-hot form of late
Coventry City are just a handful of games away from potentially returning to the Premier League for the first time since May 2001, and Frank Lampard's squad are clearly in high spirits as a result.
There has, unsurprisingly, been a feel-good factor at the CBS Arena for many seasons now as the Sky Blues have put a troubled recent past behind them in remarkable fashion.
However, the former Chelsea and England midfield icon has continuously been able to get a tune out of his players in the automatic promotion and title race, as they have responded to last season's heartbreak in the Championship play-off semi-finals at the hands of Sunderland in remarkable fashion.
City have led the way in the second tier for the majority of the season, and recently reclaimed their position as front-runners after a six-game winning run from nearest challengers, Middlesbrough, saw them Kim Hellberg's side reach the summit for a brief period before they were defeated 3-1 in CV6 on February 16th.
After a minor blip of just four wins in the 13 league matches which led up to the aforementioned clash of second tier titans, Coventry have embarked on a five-game winning streak of their own, and have the chance to make it 18 points from a possible 18 if they were to defeat Preston North End on home turf on Wednesday night.
Whilst several players have been rightfully praised for their contributions, the recent run of unstoppable form has been coupled with a much-needed return to goalscoring form for USMNT international, Haji Wright.
The club's record-signing had split opinion after hitting a dry spell despite City's ascent to the top-flight, but he is very much back in the goalscoring groove at the moment.
However, his popularity within the Sky Blues dressing room has never been in doubt, and has been further showcased by his strike partner, Brandon Thomas-Asante, on social media this week.

Wright has been an integral part of the Sky Blues' attack since his arrival from Antalyaspor in the summer of 2023, when former boss, Mark Robins, rebuilt his squad after the play-off final defeat to Luton Town and the big-money sales of Gus Hamer and Viktor Gyokeres.
The 20-time international is now closing in on the 50-goal mark in all competitions for City after his recent goalscoring streak, which has seen him net six goals in the club's last five games, including his well-documented hat-trick against Boro last month.
Beforehand, the 27-year-old had only mustered two goals since October 5th, and had become the subject of criticism for his performances in front of goal.
Coventry are also the highest-scoring side in the division too, having netted 74 times in 36 matches thus far, with Wright responsible for 16 of those, whilst Thomas-Asante, who has missed 12 matches this term due to injury and suspensions, had hit the 10-goal mark by November 4th.
Wright's stunning exploits had seen him scoop the PFA's Championship Fans' Player of the Month award for February, and it has since been revealed what the Ghanaian calls him, as per Thomas-Asante's Instagram.
Reacting to his fellow striker's achievement, Thomas-Asante stated: "That's why I call him living legend."

As previously mentioned, it has been a stop-start campaign for Thomas-Asante, who was the division's top scorer alongside Derby County's Carlton Morris at the time of his injury, and he hasn't been able to score in the seven matches which he has featured in since the turn of the year.
In himself, Wright and Ellis Simms, the options which Lampard has at his disposal are extremely strong for so many reasons, as proven by the fact the American is now just one strike behind the division's leading scorer, Zan Vipotnik of Swansea City.
With 10 matches to go, all three strikers are likely to have a major say in the outcome of City's season, whilst Thomas-Asante and Wright will also have one eye on the World Cup, with both countries involved and Ghana set to face off against England on June 23rd.
