Crystal Palace targeting Ousmane Diomandé as Marc Guehi’s replacement | OneFootball

With Marc Guehi (25) likely to leave Crystal Palace, Sporting’s Ousmane Diomandé (21) has emerged as a potential replacement for the England international defender, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The former Chelsea centre-back’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he can leave the club on a free transfer if no agreement is reached. 

The Premier League club expressed interest in the Ivory Coast international defender during the summer transfer window when it appeared that Guehi could join Liverpool. However, despite the East London outfit preparing a potential offer, a move never materialised. 

Liverpool remain in pole position to sign Guehi

The Premier League champions remain in the strongest position to sign the 25-year-old defender, Tavolieri understands. Bayern Munich are also interested, but Crystal Palace are considering a deal in the winter transfer window to avoid losing him on a free transfer. Ousmane Diomandé could be the player they turn to as his replacement.
