Away from the pitch, FC Bayern has made an unusual personnel move: a well-known TikTok influencer will be working on campus in future – but not for social media
FC Bayern has strengthened its staff – but not on the transfer market in the traditional sense. Bennett Iyamu has been part of the record champions‘ extended staff since the beginning of February. The 33-year-old is active on TikTok with more than 214,000 followers and on Instagram with over 30,000 subscribers, where he is primarily known for his translations of song lyrics into German
In Munich, however, Iyamu is not taking on a digital role. Instead, he has been hired as a new language teacher for the German record champions‘ young talent. Born in Hamburg, he speaks a total of nine languages. In addition to German and English, he also speaks French, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, Creole and two Nigerian languages
With this profile, Iyamu is to support young talents at the Bayern Campus in their development – especially international players who have to find their way in a new environment in terms of language. Communication is seen internally as an important part of development, both on and off the pitch

Iyamu made his move to Bayern public himself. He posted a photo on LinkedIn and Instagram wearing a Munich shirt with his name and the number 2026 and wrote: „I am delighted to announce that I have joined FC Bayern Munich as a new language teacher in the youth academy.“
The appointment shows that FC Bayern is taking a broad approach to its youth development work and focusing on integration and communication in addition to the important sporting factors – an unusual but well thought-out move.
