The Czech Football League has rejected David Trunda's support for Gianni Infantino's plan to sell shares in the World Cup, siding with UEFA's opposition.

In a statement, the league said it gives clear, unconditional backing to UEFA's position on FIFA's latest proposals to alter competitions.

The split reflects competing views inside Czech football. Trunda, president of the Czech Football Association, had publicly backed Infantino's project, a view that remains largely in the minority.

By contrast, the league set itself against Trunda and aligned with UEFA and its president Aleksander Ceferin.

The intervention comes amid broader resistance to Infantino's World Cup share-sale plan. UEFA has decided it would boycott the tournament if any stake were sold to private investors.
