Daniel Farke says Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham with a hamstring issue, while Anton Stach should be fine after a hip problem. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the striker has undergone a precautionary scan and the midfielder has resumed training.
Farke reported the squad had returned from international duty, with a few players on recovery work and late calls to come on who travels. He hopes Calvert-Lewin can rejoin training ahead of Sunday, but his availability remains in doubt.
The forward cut short a session after feeling his hamstring, then sat out the next while a precautionary scan was arranged. The manager said travel and different conditions may have played a part, and the club will assess him.
Stach missed a day of training this week with a hip issue but is now back and expected to be available. Winger Noah Okafor had earlier returned from a hamstring injury, and both he and Dan James had minor concerns while away with Switzerland and Wales.
Before the break, Okafor’s return left Leeds with a full squad for Brentford, with only Gabriel Gudmundsson missing through suspension. The left back served a one-match ban after his dismissal for a second yellow card at Crystal Palace, then joined his national team.
James scored and played 84 minutes in Wales’s penalty defeat to Bosnia. Calvert-Lewin featured for England against Uruguay, then left the camp before the Japan friendly.
