Daniel Farke has issued Leeds United team news before Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin a doubt and Anton Stach expected to be available. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the striker is managing a hamstring problem.
Farke said the squad had returned from international duty, with a handful on recovery work and late decisions to come on the travelling party. Stach missed a day with a hip issue, has resumed training and is expected to be fine for Sunday.
Calvert-Lewin felt his hamstring in training, ended the session early and did not take part the following day. He has been scanned as a precaution and Farke hopes it is only a minor issue, with a possible return to team training the next day subject to assessment.
Calvert-Lewin featured for England against Uruguay on Friday, then left the camp before Tuesday’s meeting with Japan. Noah Okafor was unused against Germany amid reports of a warm-up knock. Dan James, recently back from a hamstring tendon issue, played for Wales and cramped, with checks ongoing, said Craig Bellamy.
Before the break, Okafor’s return from a hamstring injury left Leeds with a fully fit group for Brentford, with Gabriel Gudmundsson the only absentee due to suspension after a second yellow in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
