Daniel Farke has named his Leeds United side for this afternoon’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley, with Anton Stach back on the bench and Lucas Perri preferred in goal to Karl Darlow in the only change.
Stach was initially thought likely to be out until May after ankle ligament damage in the quarter-final win at West Ham. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, he had not trained by Thursday, and Farke said he could still have a chance if he returned within two days.
Darlow had recently moved ahead as first-choice, but Perri has started every FA Cup tie and Farke strongly hinted he would continue between the posts.
Up front, Lukas Nmecha, who had begun every cup game, is among the substitutes as Dominic Calvert-Lewin makes his first start in the competition for Leeds. Injury doubts Jayden Bogle and Sebastiaan Bornauw are available, Bogle starts and Bornauw is on the bench.
Joe Rodon and Dan James are also among the substitutes. Ilia Gruev is the only absentee after a training meniscus injury ended his season this week.
Chelsea’s Joao Pedro starts after a late check, while Cole Palmer is among the substitutes. Teams, Chelsea: Sanchez, Gusto, Chalobah, Tosin, Cucurella, Caicedo, Lavia, Neto, Fernandez (c), Garnacho, Joao Pedro. Leeds: Perri, Bogle, Justin, Bijol, Struijk, Gudmundsson, Ampadu, Tanaka, Okafor, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin.
