According to Glorioso 1904, Darwin Núñez could return to Liverpool on a free transfer this summer after agreeing to terminate his Al Hilal contract at the end of the season.
The Uruguay international is said to be ready to head back to Merseyside. He joined Al Hilal for 55 million euros last summer, but after the arrival of Karim Benzema in February he was left out of their league squad.
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had signed Núñez from Benfica for a reported 70 million euros, potentially rising to 84 million, one of Benfica’s biggest sales.
Four years on, Liverpool now have the chance to bring him back at no cost as he approaches his 27th birthday on 24 June. Supporters have urged the club on social media to make the move.
In his previous spell in England, Darwin Núñez scored 25 Premier League goals and provided 16 assists, though inconsistent finishing was often highlighted and ultimately contributed to his departure.
