Lille have outlined Davide Ancelotti’s backroom plans, with president Olivier Létang confirming the 36-year-old, appointed on a two-year deal, is to be joined by two or three colleagues.
According to L'Équipe, Ancelotti was not at Domaine de Luchin on Monday, instead introducing himself via a short video. He called the move a special moment, said it was a major opportunity, and stressed his belief in the project and desire to start work on the pitch.
Létang warmly praised Bruno Genesio, and added that assistants Dimitri Farbos, Jérémie Bréchet and Antonin Da Fonseca will also depart the club.
Ancelotti’s team is very likely to feature Spaniard Luis Tevenet, 52, and the Englishman Andy Mangan, 39. Lille will also recruit a set-piece specialist.
Goalkeeper coach Nicolas Dehon could stay on. The squad are due back at Domaine de Luchin on 1 July.
