Details: Antony’s Real Betis release clause | OneFootball

Details of the release clause included in the contract handed to Antony by La Liga outfit Real Betis this summer have come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and confirms that, should the Brazilian move on once more over the coming seasons, it will not be for cheap.

Winger Antony of course sealed a deadline day move back to Spain.

After negotiations which dragged on throughout the summer window, those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Real Betis ultimately struck an agreement on the terms of a permanent transfer with Manchester United.

The Verdiblancos, it is understood, forked out an initial €22 million, with the potential to rise to €26 million through add-ons.

And as alluded to above, on Monday, an insight into the release clause agreed upon between the parties has also been provided.

As per a report from MD:

‘Antony’s transfer to Real Betis includes numerous variables and bonuses, including a €50 million buyout clause that could rise to €60 million, depending on the date it is activated during the five-year contract the Brazilian has signed with the Betis club.’
