Eliezer Mayenda’s Sunderland future is under scrutiny after his agent, Alfonso Stellitano, posted from the Stadium of Light with the caption “The Last Dance”, tagging the club, the player and the Premier League.

Foot Mercato reports that the 21-year-old is expected to leave this summer, with several ambitious European clubs monitoring his situation ahead of the window.

Mayenda made 23 appearances in all competitions in 2025-26, scoring twice in the Premier League as Sunderland finished seventh to secure Europa League qualification.

The former Sochaux academy forward joined in 2023 and has 73 appearances and 12 goals for the club. His breakthrough came in the 2024-25 promotion season, when he struck 10 times in 42 outings.

Although not always a starter, his pace, versatility and work-rate offered Régis Le Bris a useful option in the top flight. With the club planning for Premier League and Europa League campaigns, he remains under contract, but his situation could be one to watch as interest builds.
