Emile Heskey has opened up on his son, Jaden Heskey's loan spell with Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday
Emile Heskey has opened up on what his son, Jaden Heskey, has learned from his time on loan with Sheffield Wednesday from Manchester City.
The 20-year-old made his senior debut as a substitute for Pep Guardiola's men in September's 2-0 EFL Cup victory over Huddersfield Town.
Heskey subsequently joined the financially troubled Owls on loan in January, and has gone on to make 12 Championship appearances for Henrik Pedersen's men.
The deep-lying midfielder most recently featured in the second tier when Wednesday were defeated 2-0 by Ipswich Town last Saturday, which marked their 28th league defeat of the season.

Wednesday remain in administration, and are nervously awaiting to see whether preferred bidder David Storch passes the EFL's Owners' and Directors' Test.
The American will then have to undergo the Independent Football Regulator's checks and balances if he doesn't complete his purchase of the Championship club by May.
Wednesday were relegated to League One when they were defeated 2-1 in the Steel City Derby by Sheffield United, and remain on negative points thanks to the deductions that were inflicted upon them as a result of former owner Dejphon Chansiri's wrongdoings.
The restrictions that the Owls find themselves under have also meant that they have only been able to make free agent and loan signings, and the South Yorkshire side's recruitment team did well to acquire talented youngster Heskey from Man City.
Meanwhile, discussing the midfielder's loan spell at Hillsborough, father Emile, who played as a striker for England as well as clubs such as Leicester City, Aston Villa, and Wigan Athletic, told GOAL: "When you're training with the (City) first team, you're getting a really great understanding but training with them as opposed to going out to Sheffield Wednesday and getting battered, it's a little bit different, but he's enjoying that.
"He's loving that side of the battle because, emotionally, it just sends you on a roller coaster as well, but you've still got to be up for the next game. You've got another game in three days' time, so you've got to be up for that battle all the time.
"Different types of football, not having the best players all the time. This is all part and parcel of football."

The fact that Heskey, who only turned 20 in December, has already made a senior appearance for Man City, who have dominated the last decade of English football, is testament to his strong technical ability.
Meanwhile, as alluded to by his father, Emile, the experience he is earning while on loan with Wednesday is teaching him the physical side of the senior game.
Furthermore, because the Owls remain in dire financial straits, have lost several key players in the last two transfer windows, and have already suffered relegation, plying his trade for the Hillsborough outfit must be emotionally taxing for Heskey.
The Man City youth academy graduate's next loan club will likely be in a significantly more stable position than Wednesday in several respects, so his time at Hillsborough will enable him to flourish elsewhere.
