Enzo Maresca makes major claim about “fantastic” Estevao after Wolves win | OneFootball

Enzo Maresca was full of praise for Estevao after Chelsea’s win against Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Chelsea ran out 3-0 winners against the Premier League’s bottom club, to temporarily move up to second place in the league.

Malo Gusto scored the first goal of his senior career, whilst Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto also got themselves on the scoresheet.

Enzo Maresca heaps praise on Estevao

Maresca once again made a number of changes to the starting line-up, and having played 90 minutes in midweek Estevao had to make do with a place on the bench. 

The Italian said before the match Estevao was ready to start more games, and the crowd absolutely love the 18-year-old.

The introduction of the Brazilian was met with a cheer as loud as if Chelsea had scored a goal, and Estevao made an instant impact as he got an assist with virtually his first touch.

The youngster looks like an absolute superstar and Maresca feels he’s going to be a top player for Chelsea for many years to come.

“You can see that, absolutely. He’s top, he’s a talent. Again, we are trying to help him to adapt and to give him the right minutes,” he said as quoted by Sky Sports.

“He’s doing fantastic. For this club, in the next 5-10 years, he will be a top, top player.”

The mood inside the stadium instantly lifts when Estevao is on the ball or he’s about to come on, and Maresca feels fans pay to watch players like him.

“The reason why fans pay tickets is because they want to see players like Estevao, like Cole [Palmer].
