Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could face competition from other European clubs to sign Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae next summer.

Bayern signed Nicolas Jackson on loan from the Blues, while Spurs added Joao Palhinha on loan from the German club. Both share a good relationship with the Bavarian giants.

According to journalist Philipp Kessler, via Bayern & Germany X handle, two Turkish clubs – Besiktas and Galatasaray are interested in signing Min-jae.

The 29-year-old has dropped down the pecking order behind Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah, but has still managed enough opportunities under Vincent Kompany this season.

Christian Falk previously informed CFBayern that both London clubs are interested in the South Korean, who could be sold in the summer if the right offer comes in.

The Bild journalist further added that Min-jae is also attracting interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, but he is unlikely to leave next summer.

Will Kim Min-jae leave Bayern?

Christian Falk previously informed CFBayern that Max Eberl had already informed Kim Min-jae’s camp last summer that Bayern would be willing to part ways if they received a good offer.

Eberl, meanwhile, recently confirmed that Bayern may not need to sign a new defender and hinted that Min-jae is part of the plans.

Chelsea have a wealth of options for centre-back roles, even without Levi Colwill, who suffered an ACL injury ahead of the 2025-26 season. But it seems they want to make changes at the back, and Min-jae would be a good option.

Cristian Romero’s long-term future at Tottenham is in doubt, while the north London club could also ship out the likes of Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies next summer.

Min-jae would be a good signing for Spurs, but he might want to join a club that can offer him Champions League football.
