FC Bayern are apparently pressing ahead with the extension of Harry Kane’s contract and, according to the latest media reports, a decision on the top goalscorer’s future could be made in the coming weeks
It is no longer a secret that Munich want to keep the English superstar for the long term, and both Bayern bosses and Kane himself have recently emphasized several times that a collaboration beyond the summer of 2027 is conceivable in principle
Now there seems to be movement in the talks
According to transfer insider Nicolo Schira, those responsible at the record champions are expecting a final decision from the attacker by the end of May. Kane is said to have already received a concrete offer from FC Bayern. According to Schira, this provides for a contract extension until 2028. It is also said to include an option that would allow a further extension until 2029
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently confirmed that the club and player want to sit down together after the end of the season to discuss a concrete extension to the contract. Following the bitter Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, talks could now progress even faster than originally planned

In addition to the sporting significance, the negotiations are apparently also about a financial upgrade. According to reports, Kane is in line for a salary increase in the course of the extension, which would make him the absolute top earner at FC Bayern
The England international currently earns around 24 to 25 million euros per year
In view of his performances, a further adjustment would be perfectly understandable for the Munich club. Kane is having an outstanding season and is once again one of the best strikers in Europe. With 55 goals in 49 competitive games so far, the 32-year-old has delivered impressive figures and is a key factor in FC Bayern’s continued chances of winning the double
Kane is regarded within FCB as one of the team’s absolute leading players and identification figures, and the desire to clarify his future at an early stage is correspondingly great at Säbener Straße
Should Kane actually extend his contract, it would not only be a strong signal in sporting terms, but also an important success for Max Eberl and the sporting management of the record champions.
