Félix Torres arrived in Porto Alegre on Thursday night to complete a loan from Corinthians to Internacional until the end of 2026, after falling out of favour under Dorival Júnior. According to Meu Timao, the Ecuadorian is finalising the remaining paperwork.
The 29-year-old said he was eager to get started, thanked fans for their online welcome and traced the move to a 31 December 2025 call with Fabinho Soldado and Paulo Pezzolano. He said he gave his word that day, wanted to travel quickly and would work hard towards Inter’s targets.
As talks progressed, he was on the bench for Corinthians’ 3-0 win over Ponte Preta in the 2026 Paulista on Sunday, then omitted for the defeat at Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday. Corinthians authorised his trip on Wednesday after farewells at CT Dr Joaquim Grava.
He is set for medicals and to sign the loan, with salaries shared between the clubs. The deal includes an option to buy, with figures undisclosed, and had been held up by a debt estimated at 500,000 dollars, around R$ two point seven million.
Torres joined in January 2024 for six and a half million dollars from Mexico’s Santos Laguna, with late instalments prompting a FIFA transfer ban lifted last Friday. Corinthians hold 80% of his rights to December 2027. He made 80 appearances, 73 starts, but dropped behind Gustavo Henrique, André Ramalho, João Pedro Tchoca and Cacá as Gabriel Paulista arrived.
