Filipe Luís’s dream signing is Richarlison, but Tottenham forward not keen on Flamengo move | OneFootball

Richarlison is the forward Filipe Luís most wants at Flamengo, though the Tottenham player was not keen on an approach, according to Coluna Do Fla.

Without him, Flamengo are still improvising up front. On Wednesday they drew 1-1 with Internacional, starting Bruno Henrique as a number nine. He struggled to influence the game, Pedro came on at half-time but could not force a winner.

Flamengo tried to sign Richarlison in the last transfer window, but he chose to remain in Europe. Despite that refusal, he stays on their list and the club plan another attempt in the middle of the year.

Richarlison and Filipe Luís were Brazil team-mates, winning the 2019 Copa América at the Maracanã. With a World Cup approaching, the forward preferred not to take risks. He hopes for another shot at the tournament after playing in 2022.

He is not the only striker to have turned Flamengo down to stay in Europe. The club reached an agreement with Fiorentina for Lucas Beltrán, but the player chose Valencia. They also moved towards a deal with Lazio for Taty Castellanos, though he opted for West Ham.
