Five Stadium of Light dates as Sunderland Women’s WSL2 fixtures announced | OneFootball

Sunderland Women will play five times at the Stadium of Light after their 2026/27 WSL2 schedule was confirmed.

According to Sunderland Echo, the Lasses open against Bristol City at Eppleton CW on Sunday, September sixth, then visit newly promoted Burnley on Sunday, September 13th.

The first Wear-Tyne derby is on Sunday, November 15th, with Mel Reay’s side hosting Newcastle United at the Stadium of Light. The return is on Sunday, March 28th at St James' Park.

Further Stadium of Light dates come against Southampton on Sunday, September 20th, Nottingham Forest on Sunday, March 21st, and Sheffield United on Sunday, April fourth. Watford visit between May seventh and ninth, the exact date to be confirmed, and that fixture closes the WSL2 campaign.

Sunderland meet Durham twice in the River Wear derby, away at Maiden Castle on Sunday, November eighth, then at Eppleton on Sunday, January 31st. Fixtures are subject to change.

Elsewhere, Niyah Dunbar and Niamh Boothroyd have left on loan, joining Norwich City and Middlesbrough respectively.
