Flamengo fans back Danilo’s Brazil 2026 World Cup call-up

Carlo Ancelotti has named Danilo in Brazil’s final 26 for the 2026 World Cup, with Flamengo supporters welcoming the decision.

According to Coluna Do Fla, a poll on 30 April asked fans if they approved the call-up. Of the respondents, 185 voted yes and 13 voted no.

Ancelotti values the defender’s versatility and off-field attitude. He considers Danilo important on and off the pitch, able to play across the back line, and indicated he would be among the nine defenders in the final 26.

Danilo remains available for Flamengo. With him, the team face Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday 2 May at 21:30 Brasília time in the ninth round of the Brasileirão.

Rede Globo will broadcast the match free-to-air, with Premiere showing it on pay-per-view.
