Milan have reportedly been in contact with the Italian referees’ association (AIA) after a series of controversial decisions during their 1-1 draw against Como on Wednesday evening.

Milan were held to a 1-1 draw against the Lariani on Wednesday evening in their game that was originally scheduled to be played on February 8.

The game was not without its controversies, though, as Rossoneri head coach Massimiliano Allegri saw red along with two members of the Como coaching staff for a scuffle on the touchline.

Allegri later explained in his post-match interviews that he felt Como head coach Cesc Fabregas had pulled Alexis Saelemaekers back while on the attack, which prompted the touchline arguments: “Next time someone runs by me, I’ll go into a sliding tackle,” Allegri said after full-time.

Milan were also left frustrated after Ignace van der Brempt went unpunished for a foul on Strahinja Pavlovic during the Como match, which has made the Serbian a big doubt for Sunday’s match at home against Parma.

Immediately after the challenge, there had been concerns that Pavlovic had suffered a fracture to his shin, which would have ended his 2025-26 season.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have taken their frustrations up with the AIA after Wednesday’s match against Como. This was not a formal complaint, but an expression of their frustration after a series of matches in 2026 where Milan were left ‘perplexed’ by officiating calls.

As well as the Como match, Milan are also annoyed about Christian Pulisic’s goal against Sassuolo being incorrectly ruled out, which would have sent the Rossoneri 3-1 up in a match that eventually ended 2-2.

The Rossoneri also mentioned a penalty that should have been awarded to Chsitopher Nkunku against Bologna back in September and for the lack of a foul awarded in favour of Matteo Gabbia in the build-up to the goal that sent Pisa 2-1 up against Milan in San Siro in October.

Only Napoli (eight) have had more penalties awarded against them than Milan (seven) in Serie A so far this season.
