Fulham attacker Adama Traore is expected to join West Ham United, according to the Daily Mail.

West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo is eyeing a reunion with the Spaniard after their time together at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Sun claims the Hammers have already held face-to-face talks with Fulham over Traore, with officials from both clubs discussing a deal for the winger during last Saturday’s game.

West Ham have been told to pay £7 million for the 29-year-old, but are hoping to secure him for a lower fee as he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Fulham are in no hurry to sell, as they are also open to offering Traore a new contract.

The Craven Cottage club are currently without Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze and could prefer to wait until he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations before allowing Traore to leave.

While Traore plays predominantly on the right, he can also feature on the left and through the middle.

He has yet to score or assist in 12 league appearances this term, but Nuno appears to be convinced he can get the best out of him.

Traore’s crossing, dribbling and pace could help West Ham in the final third, but his finishing is a huge weakness in his game.

With just one goal to Cryscencio Summerville’s name since joining the Hammers in August 2024, it is clear to see why the club want another winger in the second half of the season.

Signing Traore is a gamble given his recent form, but West Ham are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
