Fulham marked Harry Wilson’s move to Leeds United with a playful send-off, wishing him good luck in all but two games a season.
Wilson joined Leeds on a free transfer after his contract at Craven Cottage expired, with the switch confirmed on Wednesday. The club said in a statement that he had departed following five years in west London.
The 29-year-old has signed a four-year deal and will link up with Daniel Farke’s squad for pre-season. He delivered 36 goals and 46 assists in 187 Fulham appearances.
Last season was a career best, yielding 11 goals and eight assists in 38 Premier League and FA Cup matches, and he won Fulham’s Player of the Season award. Many of his goals were eye-catching, including a trivela against Crystal Palace.
The move follows a failed deadline-day pursuit 10 months earlier and was finalised after a pre-arranged training camp in Portugal.
Wilson is set to face his old club when Fulham visit Elland Road on December 19.
