Gabi Zanotti hails Fazendinha progress and eyes Corinthians return | OneFootball

Gabi Zanotti hailed the lighting upgrade at Fazendinha and said she hopes to return soon, after scoring twice in Corinthians’ 4-0 win over América Mineiro at Neo Química Arena on Monday.

"I am very happy with the progress. I love playing at Fazendinha, it has always been our home. I cannot wait to be back with our fans much closer," she said. She spoke to Timão Delas.

In May 2025 the Paulista federation barred night games at Fazendinha after lighting failures, laid bare when 32 floodlights were out in the Paulistão Feminino opener.

Nearly a year on, Corinthians on Thursday began replacing the floodlights opposite the covered stand, the final area awaiting work. The Numerada Norte side has already been renewed, tested and approved, and focus now shifts to the larger units behind the open stand.

This is the penultimate phase, after which a specialist will align the beams to remove shadows. Technical inspections will follow before any clearance for night use.

With nights off-limits, the Brabas played twice at Neo Química Arena this year, posting combined losses above R$ 100,000. Club staff led wiring and floodlight replacements bought by Corinthians, spending over R$ 400,000 after outside quotes topped R$ 2 million.

Corinthians visit Botafogo at Nilton Santos at 19:00 on Friday 27, then host Red Bull Bragantino at 21:00 on the 3rd, venue to be confirmed.
