Gaviões da Fiel chief praises Supercopa, eyes Corinthians’ future

Corinthians were crowned champions over Flamengo in the Supercopa Rei, putting on a show both on the field and in the stands, with more than 100 organized supporters’ buses arriving in Brasília. The president of Gaviões da Fiel, Alexandre Domênico, spoke on social media about the celebration organized by the groups and outlined the club’s next steps at Parque São Jorge.

“What a final, huh? Some of the scenes we witnessed will be forever etched in our memory, in our hearts. Just like it was in '76, 2000, 2012. Now we’ve written another chapter in our history in 2026. Before thanking the guys who made it happen, just so we don’t come across as too arrogant or conceited, because I think some things became very clear, very obvious, to those of us who live in this football world, this world of supporters in general,” the president began.

At the Mané Garrincha Stadium, the venue for the final, Flamengo’s fans were placed so they would appear in the background of the television broadcast. Because of this, Corinthians’ trophy ceremony took place with apparently empty stands, since the Fiel were on the same side as the cameras. Alê took the opportunity to take a jab at the opponents and the organization of the match.

“On the other side was Corinthians, and there was a lack of respect, a lack of understanding of our history, a lack of understanding that the Corinthians supporters, when they get involved like this, it’s a demonstration of love, passion, devotion for this club, they really invaded Brasília. It’s this kind of attitude, these historic facts, that truly mark the strength of a fanbase. That’s what stands out. They forgot this little detail, that the Corinthians supporters have this very strong connection with the players, who also embraced all the amazing images we received from the fans, this huge demonstration, and we passed that energy on to the players.,” he commented.

The unity of all the supporter groups made it possible to celebrate both before and minutes after the match started. The section reserved for the organized groups created a mosaic, along with other props that appeared throughout the game.

“But now, I really want to thank the flag department of Gaviões da Fiel, as well as all the supporter groups, but I’m talking about Gaviões da Fiel, our stands director. Guys, the caravan department, members, everyone who really got involved, wore the shirt, that thing of ours from Gaviões since 1969, defending Corinthians, defending Corinthians fans. Anyway, truly sensational, I’m very happy, just like every Corinthians fan is happy.,” Alê praised.

Even after the title, Corinthians and its fans continue to focus on the political issues surrounding the club, such as the progress of the Statute reform, as well as the analysis of possible expulsions of former presidents like Andrés Sanchez, Duilio Monteiro Alves, and Augusto Melo.

“We know we still have many challenges ahead, a huge challenge which is to expel those who tried to destroy our history. We’re not going to rest on this. Until those people who ruined our history are expelled, we won’t rest, because we see that Corinthians is huge.,” emphasized the president of Gaviões.
