Germinal of Rawson plan to start pre-season on Monday three February under Andrés Iglesias, rebuilding for the Torneo Federal "A" slated for mid March once the Regional Amateur ends.
According to SuperDepor.com, the squad was almost entirely broken up after the last campaign, leaving mainly academy players, and the club are covering financial gaps while assembling a group with a local core and additions from elsewhere.
Names said to be close, though still to be confirmed, include versatile defender Ignacio Terán, midfielder Nicolás Macarof returning from Independiente de Trelew, homegrown utility Guido Morón after a loan at CEC, contracted midfielder Facundo Silva, and experienced Jorge Velázquez, the recent Liga del Valle top scorer.
Also mentioned are midfielder Kevin Lencina, who played for Guillermo Brown de Puerto Madryn and Defensa y Justicia, centre-back Juan Carlos Silva from Club Empleados de Comercio de Trelew, young midfielder Lautaro Veloso, and attacking midfielder Federico Cárcamo, formerly of Huracán de Comodoro Rivadavia and J.J. Moreno.
On the radar, without official confirmation, are J.J. Moreno striker Rodrigo Ferreyra, Brian Castillo, and Independiente de Trelew forward Martín Rodríguez, who is said to have a personal agreement pending a deal between clubs, plus defender Yamil Martínez, a Germinal youth product now at Independiente de Trelew.
Germinal are also exploring an experienced goalkeeper from outside the area, a young local keeper, and further additions in midfield and at centre forward.
