Gonçalo Ramos is set to move from Paris Saint-Germain to Milan after a request from Amorim, with Benfica expected to profit via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the clubs are understood to have reached an agreement worth between 60 and 70 million euros including add-ons, although the official figures have not been disclosed.

If the fee comes in at 60 million euros, Benfica would receive about 2.55 million through solidarity, a sum that could rise should the final price approach 70 million. The mechanism rewards the clubs involved in a player’s development.

Ramos represented Benfica from 2013/14 to 2022/23, completing almost all his youth pathway before breaking into the first team. In summer 2023 he joined Paris Saint-Germain in a move that brought 65 million euros to the Lisbon club.

After three seasons with the French champions, during which he won two Champions Leagues, the striker could now begin a new chapter in Italy, while Benfica benefit again from his progress.
