Hansi Flick requests the signing of Bundesliga midfielder at Barcelona – report | OneFootball

In a league brimming with young talents, Angelo Stiller has become a standout name thanks to his unprecedented success at Stuttgart.

Formerly of the Bayern Munich youth academy, Stiller has become a household name at Stuttgart since joining the club in 2023.

In just over two seasons, he has racked up over 100 competitive appearances for the German outfit, establishing himself as one of the league’s most gifted midfielders in the process.

Stiller’s performances have not gone unnoticed. Real Madrid were among the clubs interested in his services last summer, and it appears Barcelona may soon join the list.

Hansi Flick’s request to Deco

According to Fichajes, Hansi Flick has made a special request to sporting director Deco, asking him to sign the Stuttgart midfielder at Barcelona.

Flick, who follows German football closely, believes Stiller has what it takes to become a successful midfielder at Camp Nou.

The German, in fact, considers Stiller to be an ideal fit in his midfield system, which is still too reliant on the services of Frenkie de Jong and Pedri.

Stiller, to that end, can offer more security in the second line of press, ultimately allowing players like de Jong and Pedri to become more expressive during the possession phases.

However, signing Stiller won’t be easy, with the report pointing out that Stuttgart have no intention to part ways with the German international.

Thanks to his success in the Bundesliga, Stiller’s market value has also skyrocketed, with the player now being valued at around €50 million. Therefore, Stuttgart won’t consider a sale unless Barcelona can propose a substantial offer.

For Stiller, Barcelona remains an attractive option. But with other clubs also interested, things won’t be easy for the Catalans.
