FC Bayern could apparently sign one of Germany’s biggest talents as early as this summer. The youngster probably has an exit clause.

FC Bayern are sticking to their policy of wanting to bring the best young players in Germany to Munich. According to Sky, the Munich club are seriously interested in Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha BSC. The 16-year-old midfielder is considered one of the biggest talents in German soccer – and could move as early as next summer thanks to a release clause.

As Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg reports, Bayern have been keeping a regular eye on the youngster for months. „Bayern are definitely in the market, they scout him regularly, they are looking at him,“ said Plettenberg.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also scouted Eichhorn live on several occasions – most recently during the second division match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. According to the report, Leipzig in particular are currently pushing hard to sign him.

According to the report, Eichhorn has an exit clause with Hertha BSC that can be exercised in the summer of 2026. The amount depends on the country, the competition and the respective club – the upper limit is therefore around ten to twelve million euros. This would make the teenager a highly interesting but still affordable future deal for top clubs such as FC Bayern.

Eichhorn causes a stir at Hertha BSC

The youngster is already causing a stir in the Bundesliga 2. At just 16, Eichhorn is an integral part of the Berlin professional squad and has shown impressively in his first season that he can hold his own at this level. His maturity, technique and vision make him an exceptional talent who can impress in the center as well as in the attacking eighth position.

Eichhorn would fit perfectly into FC Bayern’s long-term concept. Chief Sports Officer Max Eberl and Sports Director Christoph Freund are focusing specifically on young players with development potential who are to be introduced to the professional level at an early stage. Examples such as Lennart Karl or the contacts with shooting star Said El Mala show that the record champions are clearly gearing their future towards top young German talent.

It is therefore hardly surprising that Bayern are also looking closely at Eichhorn. The record champions want to continue to develop the best prospects in their own system – and Eichhorn could soon become the next name on that list. Should the opportunity arise to trigger his release clause in the summer, FC Bayern are likely to be right at the forefront.
