Here we go: Barcelona agree €1.8 million loan-to-buy deal for South American starlet | OneFootball

FC Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign young defender Patricio Pacifico from Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting, confirms Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian transfer expert has given his trademark ‘here we go’ seal of approval for the deal, with the 19-year-old starlet set to arrive in Catalonia imminently.

As per the update from Romano, Pacifico will be arriving on a loan deal with a buy option worth €1.8 million plus add-ons.

The buy clause could become mandatory if certain conditions are met.

As with Hamza Abdelkarim, Pacifico will also be joining the Barça Atletic setup for now, becoming a part of the squad under Juliano Belletti.

A left-back by trade, Pacifico is also capable of playing as a centre-back. So far, the 19-year-old prospect has made 40 first-team appearances for Sporting, even scoring two goals.

The young left-back has also represented the Uruguayan national team at the Under-17 and the Under-20 levels.

Pacifico will hope to make a solid impression in the coming months at Barça Atletic, hoping to convince the club to sign him permanently in the summer.
