Blues looking to overcome three-goal aggregate deficit in second-leg
Chelsea will look to pull off a famous comeback as they welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Stamford Bridge tonight.
The Blues come into this match, the second-leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie, trailing by three after a disastrous finish to the reverse fixture at the Parc des Princes.
The match was level with a quarter of an hour left to play, but a Filip Jorgensen error opened the door for Vitinha to give PSG a late advantage. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia then piled on with goals in the 86th and 94th minutes.
That nightmare spell leaves Liam Rosenior’s with a three-goal deficit to overturn this evening, and they may have to do so without a fit right-back.
Club captain Reece James, less than a week after extending his Chelsea contract through to 2030, is set to spend some time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, while Malo Gusto missed training through illness this week.
It is not all bad news for the Blues, though, as exciting young winger Estevao is back in the fold, having recovered from a hamstring injury of his own.
