Jeremy Doku scored his first international brace as Belgium thrashed Kazakhstan 6-0 in Brussels.
The City winger's first on 44 minutes - a right-footed low shot - was assisted by former City legend Kevin De Bruyne, who himself had opened the scoring just moments earlier.
Doku scored his second on the hour-mark with a left-foot finish from a tight angle, before being substituted shortly after, while KDB bagged his second on 84 as the Red Devils moved withing a point of leaders North Macedonia in Group J of World Cup qualification.
Rodri was also involved in a 6-0 romp, with Spain hammering Turkey.
La Roja ran riot in Konya with Arsenal's Mikel Merino scoring a hat-trick before being replaced by Rodri on 73 minutes.
Spain now top Group E with maximum points from two games.
Elsewhere, Tijjani Reijnders and Nathan Ake both started for Netherlands in their World Cup qualifier away to Lithuania.
The Dutch raced into a 2-0 lead against the team ranked 143 in world football, with goals from Memphis Depay (11) and Quinten Timber (33) before the hosts hit back with two goals before the break from Gineitis and Girdvainis to go in 2-2 at half-time.
The City duo were both replaced on 62 minutes, just a minute before Depay powerfully headed home what would prove to be the winner - and became his country's all-time leading scorer in the process - to give Netherlands a hard-fought 3-2 win at the Dariaus Jr Girėno Stadionas.
Ake was winning his 55th cap and Reijnders his 25th and the win leaves the Dutch three points clear at the top of Group G ahead of Poland and Finland on seven points.
